The Tomaree Headland Summit Walk is one of Port Stephens’ must-do experiences, combining a steep but rewarding climb with some of the best coastal views in NSW. From the summit, enjoy 360-degree panoramas across Shoal Bay, Nelson Bay, the Myall River, offshore islands and the Pacific Ocean. This iconic walk is perfect for sunrise and sunset photography, whale watching from May to October, and exploring fascinating WWII gun placements nearby. While the stairs make it unsuitable for prams and wheelchairs, plenty of seats along the track allow walkers to rest and soak in the incredible scenery.
