Exmouth is the main gateway to Ningaloo Reef and Cape Range National Park. It offers far more accommodation, dining and activity choices than Coral Bay. You can also fly directly to Exmouth (Learmonth Airport) from Perth.

It is also the better base if you want to combine reef experiences with rugged landscapes, hiking and remote beaches.

Coral Bay gives you that barefoot beach-town experience, while Exmouth offers bigger adventures and access to Cape Range National Park.
